Calling

I am a child of God.

I know my place and my portion.

I know my calling.

I am a child of God.

And I refuse to listen to lies.

Even those well ensconced in patriarchy

And history.

For history is often wrong.

And the Holy Spirit,

The One Who calls,

And equips,

And prepares for sacred service,

Is never wrong.

I am a child of God.

I am a daughter of the Most High.
